Dungeon Panda

What?

This is an application aimed for Dungeons & Dragons players, or for people playing similar fantasy-themed TTRPGs. It has a simple idea - play background music from a large Apple Music selection on what amounts to Random Play. There's some tuning of tracks, which sometimes fade in or out at specific offsets to match a mood. A grid of buttons lets a player or DM switch (with fade-out/fade-in) between different styles.

An Apple Music subscription is required to use the app.

Dungeon Panda runs on iPhone, iPad and Mac (the latter via Catalyst). On iPad and macOS it can run full screen, windowed or in split view, fully resizable to fit around your other game-related pages and apps. It has two main themes, changing both the user interface and the full playlist collection - a Realms theme with more orchestral-style music and an Astral theme with a Retrowave vibe.

Why?

There are some decent TTRPG albums out there but game sessions can be quite long and single albums start getting repetitive quickly. Nobody wants to be distracted from the game by having to switch albums or playlists for things like a battle, a sad moment, a victory, or a failure. With Dungeon Panda, it's all just a single button press away.

Privacy Policy

I have no interest in anyone's personal data! Card Panda stores playlist offsets in your private iCloud account, so it can pick up where it left off if quit and restarted. It does not store any personal data. The information is not sent anywhere else. Dungeon Panda doesn't gather or transmit any usage statistics, demographics or other personal data at all and never will.
